I have to say as far as the seasons goes I do love the long summer nights especially when I am photographing families in barley fields with the evening sun like this image below. mother&baby Photography

However the Autumn time is such an amazing time with the brown and yellow leaves falling to the ground and the change of the trees gives the countryside such a stunning burst of colour. Having said all this I also love the Christmas time when I can put my tree up and my home is filled with lights and amazing home sweet home decorations.. I am so looking forward to this Christmas the most its not the gifts under the tree that I care about its the time spent with my children baking homemade Apple tart and shortbread while dancing around the kitchen with my children these are the moments I love best!

Winning an Award has push my Photography to a new level!

I am so delighted to announce I have just won an award on my newborn photography with the guilds of photographers association. When my friend said to me so many times I should enter the IOM of the guild of photographers I thought she was just being kind. So after great thought I said “what have I to lose” I entered last month for the first time and this image won a bronze I was delighted however it give me the passion to work harder at my Photography Career to achieve higher I have just finished another piece of art which I hope to enter soon…

Canon 50mm 1.2 l

O I am beyond excited to say I have finally picked up the courage to buy the Canon 50 mm 1.2 lens. I have been for the past two years or so hiring this lovely piece of kit every time I needed it for a session, or should I say every time I felt the need to buy it. Well thankfully I have took the plunge and bought this wee lens its beyond stunning I will have so many uses for it this photo of a mother and her newborn baby was shot at an amazing 2.2 f stop and the detail is unreal for such a low aperture. I love to shot my session with my lens wide open. For those of you who don’t know much about photography I will share as much info on lenses and camera gear along the way to suit your needs in the coming future! shot at 2.2 f stop 1/400 shutter iso 1000 and exposure + 0.3 canon 5d mark 3 body.

Shot with natural window light along with my Jinbei daylight lamp between my windows, black material was used for backdrop.
